Job Description

Insight Global's client is a supplier of aluminum and other mined natural resource products across the globe. They have many locations across the US and are looking for a Manufacturing Recruiter to support several of their plants in the Western United States.

The Manufacturing Recruiter will manage 12-15 active requisitions focused primarily on maintenance, skilled trades, and industrial manufacturing positions across Hydro's facilities. Approximately 50% of the workload will require proactive sourcing, with a heavy emphasis on leveraging Indeed to identify passive candidates.

Day-to-day responsibilities include sourcing and screening maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, PLC technicians, and other skilled trades professionals; conducting phone interviews; coordinating the interview process; and guiding candidates through the full recruiting lifecycle. The recruiter will partner closely with plant hiring managers, drive timely feedback, provide market insights, and ensure positions continue moving through the hiring process.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for extension or conversion. The preferred candidate will be located in Phoenix, AZ (top priority), Portland, OR, or Spanish Fork, UT and be comfortable working 2-3 days per week onsite in a plant environment. Success in this role requires strong sourcing abilities, familiarity with industrial maintenance terminology (hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical/electrical systems, and PLCs), and the confidence to hold hiring managers accountable while managing a high-volume requisition load.

The ideal recruiter will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, balancing relationship building, stakeholder management, and hands-on recruiting while supporting approximately 1-2 hires per week across critical plant operations roles.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in recruiting
  • Recruiting experience within manufacturing, skilled trades, maintenance, or heavy industrial environments
  • Experience proactively sourcing candidates rather than relying primarily on applicants
  • Strong Indeed sourcing experience
  • Comfortable supporting a heavy-industrial plant environment with experience recruiting hourly/skilled-trades talent
  • Working understanding of industrial maintenance terminology, including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and PLC-related positions - Able to screen candidates for technical troubleshooting competency
  • Strong hiring-manager/stakeholder management skills, including the ability to push back and proactively pursue feedback
  • Comfortable working with roughly 12–15 active requisitions
  • Able to work 2-3 days a week onsite in Phoenix, AZ (top priority), Portland, OR, or Spanish Fork, UT
  • Previous experience personally working within a skilled trade or industrial/construction environment
  • SAP experience
  • Previous experience recruiting directly inside a manufacturing plant
  • Bilingual in Spanish
