Dual Immersion Teacher

Teach Spanish literacy and Utah core to middle school students in Spanish language. Develop lesson plans; create active Spanish language learning environment; participate in professional development for dual immersion strategies; maintain student records; work with parents. Physical place of employment is Mount Jordan Middle School, 9351 S. Mountaineer Ln, Sandy, UT 84070. Requirements: Bachelors in Education, English, Spanish, or similar, or foreign equivalent; UT teaching license or eligible to enroll in UT Alternative Pathway to Educator License process; minimum Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) score of Advanced Mid in Spanish or hold degree from Spanish-speaking university; proven ability to promote and facilitate an active Spanish language learning environment.
