Salary Range: $67,600.00 To $78,000.00 Annually

Join us for a Virtual Residence Manager Hiring Event on Wednesday October 14, 2026, from 4:00pm to 9:00PM

Opengate Inc. is a mission-driven nonprofit organization seeking compassionate, dedicated Residence Managers to join our team in Somers, New York!

Job Type: Full-time

Shifts: Flexible

Location: Somers, New York

Compensation:

Residence Manager, IRA: $67,600.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

Residence Manager, ICF: $73,000.00 To $78,000.00 Annually

Compensation will be commensurate with job qualifications and work experience

Qualifications:

Residence Managers ICF/ IRA:

Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, 2 years in a supervisory role, 2 years working with the I/DD population

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, SCIP-R Certified, AMAP Certified, First Aid/CPR Certified

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide oversight and supervision of staff assigned to the residence.

  • Ensure staff complete required orientation, training, and DSP Core Competencies.

  • Conduct monthly coaching meetings and performance reviews.

  • Coordinate staff schedules, coverage, and On-Site Manager rotation.

  • Support individuals with direct care, transportation, and daily needs.

  • Participate in IDT meetings and IPRP planning.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, treatment plans, and incident reports.

  • Manage individual finances, debit cards, purchases, and receipts.

  • Coordinate maintenance, supplies, food shopping, and residence needs.

  • Develop and implement recreation and activities based on individual interests.

  • Use required systems, including FIX, ADP, Precision Care, eRequester, and Relias.

  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, safety standards, and government regulations.

  • Participate in internal audits and incident review recommendations.

  • Maintain effective communication with individuals, families, staff, and supervisors.

  • Follow federal, state and local governmental regulatory guidelines pertaining to a safe, healthy, and clean work environment, reporting health and safety concerns to the supervisor.
