RN - Cath Lab -Encinitas

This is a part-time (48 hrs/2 weeks) position at Scripps Memorial Encinitas with 12-hour shifts. Sone shifts will support PACU. Bonus eligible* Call Required.*

Join our winning team in the Cardiac Catheterization Department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. In this position, you will:

• Monitor patient prior to and after the procedures
• assist physicians during Cath procedures (both scheduled and emergency) angioplasties, pacemaker implantation and other cardiac procedures
• Administer medications and update patient charts
• Watch for signs of infection and side effects from procedure

Call: One weekday 7p-7a and 24 hour weekend call every 7 weeks.

Required:

• 1 year of recent experience as an RN in the Cath Lab, ICU, and/or ED

• Current CA RN license

• BLS and ACLS for the Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA)

• Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred:

• Two (2) years Cath Lab and EP procedures

• Ability to handle high stress situations
