Full job description

Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Structural Flux-Core Welders . The pay rate is up to $35/hour plus $100/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the Jobsite. If you are a Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

Perform structural steel welding in a fabrication shop environment
Weld light and heavy beams, columns, and structural assemblies
Perform FCAW/Flux-Core welding in accordance with project specifications
Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Read and interpret structural drawings and welding symbols
Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by the project

Requirements:

Must pass various weld tests
Previous experience with structural steel fabrication
Strong FCAW/Flux-Core welding experience
Experience with heavy fabrication
Experience welding beams, columns, and structural assemblies
Proficiency with groove and fillet welds
Experience working from WPS requirements
Ability to read structural drawings and weld symbols
AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications are preferred
Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged
