Job Description

Our client is seeking a GSE Build Technician II to support the fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, verification, and modification of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used in production, testing, and launch operations. This role works closely with Engineering, Test Operations, Launch Operations, and Quality teams to build and maintain critical mechanical systems and infrastructure.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Fabricate and install tubing, piping, valves, regulators, gauges, manifolds, supports, and associated hardware Assemble and install stainless steel tubing and piping systems Perform mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of GSE equipment Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Perform inspections, testing, commissioning, and verification of systems Support hydraulic, pneumatic, cryogenic, and pressure system operations Troubleshoot operational issues and identify corrective actions Maintain accurate work documentation and configuration records Support launch operations and facility GSE activities Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements

Skills and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in: Mechanical fabrication Maintenance Aerospace, industrial, military, aviation, process piping, or related technical environments Experience using hand tools, power tools, calibrated tools, and measuring equipment Ability to read and interpret: Mechanical drawings Schematics P&IDs Technical work instructions Experience with: Tubing and piping installation Hydraulic or pneumatic systems Mechanical assemblies Troubleshooting and repair Strong understanding of: Safety procedures Quality standards Configuration control Documentation requirements Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work in industrial, production, launch-site, and outdoor environments Ability to travel as needed Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Technology, Welding, Industrial Technology, or related field Military mechanical technical training Experience supporting: Aerospace or launch operations Power generation Shipyards Industrial mechanical construction Chemical/process facilities Experience with: Fluid systems Cryogenic systems Pneumatic leak testing Hydrostatic testing System commissioning Experience operating cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, or other material handling equipment Working knowledge of: MS Office SAP Maximo Confluence Jira MES systems
