Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer

Description We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to create and scale advanced generative AI solutions for a highly regulated financial services setting in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can turn concepts into dependable production applications while balancing speed, quality, and security. You will work across AI architecture, application development, and cloud deployment to deliver intelligent capabilities that support enterprise business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement generative AI applications and agent-based workflows that solve complex business challenges in a financial services environment.

• Build end-to-end AI capabilities, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing performance monitoring.

• Connect large language models to enterprise products and operational processes to deliver practical, production-ready functionality.

• Develop and maintain data preparation workflows such as document chunking, embedding generation, indexing, and vector search optimization.

• Configure and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform to support scalable, resilient, and secure AI services.

• Engineer robust backend components and enterprise applications using C# and the Microsoft technology stack.

• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize deliverables, and drive high-quality execution.

• Ensure AI systems meet expectations for reliability, governance, data protection, and compliance within a regulated industry.

• Continuously refine models, pipelines, and application performance to improve accuracy, efficiency, and operational stability. Requirements • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying generative AI or machine learning solutions in production environments.

• Strong background with AI orchestration and retrieval frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or similar technologies.

• Hands-on expertise in building data pipelines, embeddings, vectorization processes, and vector database integrations.

• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure automation and environment management using Terraform.

• Solid software engineering experience with C#, enterprise application development, and Microsoft-based platforms.

• Understanding of machine learning concepts and tools, including areas such as TensorFlow, computer vision, or detection-based models.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment with a strong sense of ownership.

• Familiarity with security, reliability, and compliance expectations common in financial or other regulated industries. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
