Senior Python Developer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Python Developer to work onsite for one of our client's in the Kansas City area. In this role, this person will as a technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative software solutions that address complex business challenges and drive client success. This role leads all phases of the software development lifecycle, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performing applications. The Senior Software Developer performs in-depth analysis of software issues, identifies root causes, and implements robust solutions to improve system stability and performance. Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-level applications while ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. This individual provides technical guidance and recommendations that influence project direction and support collaboration across business units. The role also communicates project status, risks, and technical insights to stakeholders and leadership. Additionally, the Senior Software Developer researches emerging technologies and development methodologies to drive innovation, enhance functionality, and continuously improve internal processes.

Skills and Requirements

• 8+ years of experience software development experience specifically with python scripting
• Experience with API design, automated testing, debugging, and modern software engineering practices
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-hosted applications or services in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar cloud environments required
• Experience with web frameworks, REST APIs, data processing workflows, source control, CI/CD practices, and secure software development patterns preferred
• Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PPT)
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
