KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Events Marketing, IT Buyer to join our Clients and Markets organization.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the dedicated event marketing subject matter expert for your assigned buyer, synthesizing strategic direction from buyer marketing leadership to co-create an annual and quarterly event calendar and plan a high-impact portfolio of in-person and virtual marketing events that translate business goals into measurable results

Partner with national and local event marketers as well as the firm's events and meetings team to oversee the strategy and execution of the firm's event marketing efforts, advising on which events to execute and how to design experiences that achieve specific business objectives

Constantly scan the market to identify new, and timely event marketing opportunities that matter to target buyers, ensuring the firm stays ahead of the curve and avoids market saturation

Define the strategic rationale, format, and core messaging for each proposed event in alignment with overarching buyer campaign messages, while modeling estimated costs and potential ROI to build strong business cases and defining the target audience based on guidance from growth strategists and buyer marketers

Partner with events and digital teams to integrate digital intent signals into personalized event attendee engagement strategies, capturing event-specific engagement data (breakout attendance, meetings held, content consumed) to power ongoing digital engagement and 360 marketing toward key buyer targets.

Own end-to-end success metrics for the event portfolio by analyzing performance data (registration, attendance, pipeline influence, ROI) to deliver actionable insights to buyer marketers for future investment decisions, while serving as the central communication point to manage stakeholder expectations and maximize brand exposure and value

Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:

Minimum ten years of recent experience in event marketing, with a strong background in strategic planning, experience design, and stakeholder management

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in marketing, business, or a related field

Expertise in strategic event marketing and B2B experience design; strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior marketing leaders

Strong financial acumen, with experience in events marketing budget planning, management, and ROI analysis

Proven ability to collaborate with multiple senior strategy leaders to ensure alignment; proficiency in using data and actionable reporting to measure event ROI and success

Ability to translate high-level business objectives into a tangible and effective event portfolio; travel required
