Electrical Designer

What You'll Do: As an **Electrical Designer **at Peter Basso Associates, you'll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets - education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You'll apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction. What We Are Looking For: The ideal candidate has the following experience, education or qualifications: - Experience in designing any one of the following electrical systems: - Power Distribution Systems, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, standby power applications, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, arc flash hazard. - Lighting Systems, including calculations, lighting controls, luminaire selections and architecturally integrated lighting systems. - Auxiliary Systems, including fire alarm systems, voice/data structured cabling systems, access control, CCTV and other low voltage systems design. {=html} - Associate's degree or studies toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Engineering-related curriculum from an accredited college or university. - Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial building systems design. - Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. - Ability to work together with the project manager, discipline lead engineer and all team members on assigned engineering tasks assuring technical expectations, schedule and manpower budgets are met. - Knowledge of all design disciplines coordination required and the impact on the project. - Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills. - Team-oriented problem-solving skills and decision-making ability. - Detail oriented, self-motivated, and flexible.
