Full job description
Please Note: At this time, we are only considering candidates who are currently located in the Kansas City area. Applicants who are not currently local to the Kansas City metro will not be considered for this position.
At Sunlighten, we're not just about infrared saunas, we are on a mission to improve lives through innovative health and wellness solutions. As a global leader in infrared sauna therapy with a 25-year legacy of innovation, we’ve grown from our Kansas City roots to establish a global footprint. Right now, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Enterprise Applications with 5+ years of Salesforce development experience to build, integrate, and improve the systems that support our business and customer operations.
Salesforce will be a core area of expertise, but this is not a Salesforce-only role. Technology is evolving rapidly, particularly with AI changing how software is developed, integrated, and supported. We are looking for an engineer who is curious, adaptable, and excited to learn new platforms and technologies as our business evolves.
The right candidate combines strong Salesforce development skills with an understanding of APIs, integrations, business processes, and connected enterprise systems.
As Sunlighten’s Software Engineer, Enterprise Applications, you will be joining a talented, collaborative team of developers who enjoy solving complex problems, sharing ideas, and building solutions that have a meaningful impact across the business. This is an environment where engineers can learn from one another, bring forward new ideas, experiment with emerging technologies, and take ownership of meaningful work. We value people who are technically strong, team-oriented, curious, and willing to challenge the status quo as technology continues to evolve.
Duties/Responsibilities:
-
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Salesforce solutions, including custom development, automation, integrations, and business workflows.
-
Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications using REST APIs, webhooks, middleware, scheduled processes, and event-driven patterns.
-
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
-
Troubleshoot issues across applications, integrations, data, and business processes.
-
Collaborate closely with other developers and technical specialists across Salesforce, NetSuite, Shopify, Five9, web applications, and other business systems.
-
Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, source control, CI/CD, and release management.
-
Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve reliability through automation and AI.
-
Quickly learn and work with new platforms, tools, and technologies as business needs change.
-
Other duties as discussed and assigned.
Requirements
-
Minimum 5+ years of enterprise Salesforce development experience, with deep expertise in Lightning (LWC/Aura) and Apex.
-
Strong experience with Salesforce development, integrations, APIs, automation, and enterprise application architecture.
-
Experience designing or supporting system-to-system integrations and data flows.
-
Strong software development, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis skills.
-
Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
-
Experience with source control, testing, peer review, and modern software-delivery practices.
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
-
Curiosity and adaptability - someone who can quickly learn unfamiliar technologies rather than being limited to one platform.
-
Willingness to use AI as a development, research, troubleshooting, testing, and learning tool, while applying appropriate engineering judgment and security standards.
Benefits
-
Opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative environment.
-
Career growth opportunities in a market leading and rapidly growing wellness technology company.
-
Competitive Paid Time Off Policy + Paid Holidays + Floating Holidays.
-
Fully Equipped Fitness Center On-Site.
-
Lunch Program featuring a James-Beard Award Winning Chef.
-

-

-
Profit Sharing.
-
Life and Short-Term Disability Insurance.
-
Professional Development and Tuition Reimbursement.
