Join a team committed to manufacturing excellence, innovation, environmental responsibility, and the communities in which we live and work.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and technicians responsible for process, equipment, and systems performance within an assigned manufacturing area.

  • Drive rigorous Process Adherence to standardized work, engineering specifications, and manufacturing requirements, identifying and closing gaps between designed and actual process performance.

  • Own and drive Quality Operating System (QOS) adherence , ensuring quality metrics, escalation processes, corrective actions, and countermeasures are consistently applied.

  • Manage MTC (Manufacturing/Method-Time Change) and CCR (Change Control Request/Review) processes to ensure disciplined, documented, and validated implementation of product and process changes.

  • Lead DCP (Deviation Control Plan) management, ensuring deviations are properly documented, risk-assessed, controlled, and resolved through robust engineering countermeasures.

  • Apply structured project management methodology to plan, resource, execute, and deliver engineering projects, including product launches, process improvements, equipment installations, and capital projects, on time and within budget.

  • Lead process and equipment validation , ensuring new and modified manufacturing processes meet established safety, quality, capability, and production requirements prior to release.

  • Apply Ford Production System (FPS) principles to strengthen standardized processes, improve flow, eliminate waste, and drive continuous improvement across engineering and production systems.

  • Use data-driven and structured problem-solving methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma tools , to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Skilled Trades, and other technical organizations to align priorities, resources, and corrective actions.

  • Coach and develop team members through Leaders as Teachers practices, strengthening technical expertise, problem-solving capability, and leadership effectiveness.

  • Partner with Union Leadership, where applicable, to support engineering-driven process, organizational, and operational improvements.

  • Support succession planning, talent development, and competency growth through Professional Development Committee activities.

  • Provide technical leadership during production disruptions, launches, quality concerns, and other high-priority manufacturing situations.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline).

  • Broad technical and engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Working knowledge of engineering change management processes, including MTC, CCR, DCP , or comparable systems, and process validation methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of Quality Operating System (QOS) principles, process control, and process adherence practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with hourly employees, Skilled Trades, salaried personnel, technical specialists, and plant and engineering leadership.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, including experience presenting technical results, recommendations, and issues to senior leadership.

  • Ability to teach and coach Ford Production System (FPS/Lean Manufacturing) principles and engineering standard work.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data to drive fact-based engineering decisions, structured problem solving, and corrective actions.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical and cross-functional issues.

  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, including production disruptions, crisis response, launch-readiness, and other time-critical situations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Flexibility to work any shift based on business and operational requirements.
