Full job description

Description

The Senior Operations Program Manager (OPM) is responsible for aligning all resources needed to support assigned programs at the DFW11 facility in Dallas, TX from Postponement Approval through End of Life. The OPM coordinates planning, material management, site technical, and Contract Manufacturer (CM) resources to deliver factory readiness, production launch, and sustained operations on time and on budget. The OPM partners with Site Technical Managers and Sunnyvale Product Managers to plan new product introductions, and drives cross-functional execution with Engineering, Quality, Automation, and the CM across every phase of the program lifecycle.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of factory readiness from project kick-off through production launch and sustained operations.

  • Represent DPO to the Operations and Supply Chain Organization for each assigned program.

  • Create and manage detailed program schedules to drive readiness for all site build-out, fit-up, and factory deliverables.

  • Manage, track, report, and forecast all costs for site build-out, fit-up, and factory deliverables.

  • Identify and escalate risks in manufacturing process development, equipment delivery, quality control plans, and validation schedules.

  • Oversee the Contract Manufacturer's coordination of contractors and suppliers for installation and maintenance of power and data infrastructure, compressed air services, and other site equipment.

  • Lead or participate in daily standup meetings during program launches, control runs, and line installations.

  • Drive operational improvements using Lean and 6σ practices.

  • Report on program metrics and goals on a monthly basis to all levels of the organization.

  • Travel as needed to accomplish business needs.

  • Drive the Contract Manufacturer (CM) to meet production, quality, cost, and schedule targets through regular performance reviews, metric tracking, and escalation when goals are at risk.

  • Own Engineering Change Order (ECO) management for assigned programs, including receiving change notifications, assessing factory impact, ensuring production compliance, and informing the Materials Manager and Sr. Planner of BOM, process, and schedule implications.

A day in the life

The OPM is actively engaged in aligning resources and driving program execution at DFW11 across every stage from Postponement Approval through End of Life. On any given day, the OPM may be working with STMs and Sunnyvale Product Managers to plan capacity, material, and technology requirements for a new product introduction, defining manufacturing strategies and site readiness requirements for a project launch, or leading the daily standup during a production ramp to drive issue resolution and report progress against yield targets. During sustained operations, the OPM focuses on operational improvements and CM performance management. The OPM may also be presenting schedule or operational risks in an executive review, on the production floor with the Contract Manufacturer reviewing line performance, or finding creative solutions to complex program problems.
