Duties Description Under the direction of a Data Analyst 3, the duties of the Data Analyst 2 include but are not limited to the following:•Produce business intelligence solutions by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports•Manage the development, maintenance and support of dashboards based on user stories or program requests•Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in data sources; assesses data structures and how they can be used to produce desired reports; identifying data definitions, along with the cleansing and maintenance of data•Research new data sources and analytical tools, and recommend solutions; conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that business intelligence solutions are consistent with defined needs; ensure standards are adhered to for consistent data collection, storage, and access•Test, validate and reformulate models to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes of interest•Draft new functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses•Create written reports and effectively communicates/presents results•Supervise Data Analyst 1sAdditional Duties Include:• Participate in change in organizational transformations, ensuring successful adoption and alignment with strategic objectives • Engage in technology and innovation by leveraging emerging technologies to optimize processes and enhance customer experiences • Proactively manage relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally• Think strategically about current and future organizational needs• Adapt to shifting priorities• Participate in the comprehensive process of implementing changes, ensuring smooth transitions, effective communication, and minimal disruption• Proactively identify, address, and resolve conflicts to foster constructive dialogue and a productive, collaborative work environment• Analyze issues, make sound judgments, and implement effective solutions to drive positive outcomes• Proactively identify potential challenges and identify preventative solutions• Take part in team collaboration and achieve agency objectives• Effectively convey information, ideas, and expectations to diverse audiences through various channels, ensuring clarity and understanding• Foster an inclusive and equitable environment that values and leverages the strengths of a diverse workforce• Ensure exceptional customer service by proactively addressing needs and expectations• Demonstrate self-awareness and empathy to effectively manage relationships, build trust, and foster productive interactions• Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional integrity in all actions and decisions• Maintain and apply an understanding of relevant technologies and digital tools to optimize performance and drive innovationPreferred Qualifications:• Advanced experience in Tableau, BigQuery, Salesforce, SQL and Python.• Experience with advanced data analytics skills. • Experience in migrating large datasets or ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions during complex migrations.

Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive Minimum Qualifications:Seven years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.*Substitution: An associate’s degree may substitute for two years of general experience; or a bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of general experience. A master’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, may substitute for one year of general experience; or a Ph.D. in these fields may substitute for two years of general experience.Your degree must have been awarded by an educational institution accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the United States (U.S.) Department of Education/Secretary of Education. If awarded by an institution outside of the U.S. and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency.
