Overview

We are seeking an AI Engineer to support the planning, implementation, and delivery of enterprise AI solutions and system integrations. This role will partner closely with technical teams to understand existing architecture, validate project plans, and drive AI initiatives from requirements through implementation, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate has experience working with LLMs, AI applications, APIs, and enterprise systems, and can translate business objectives into practical AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities Review AI project roadmaps, Jira tickets, user stories, goals, and expected outcomes to ensure requirements are technically feasible and aligned with business objectives. Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders during the initial onboarding phase to understand existing systems, architecture, data sources, and integration requirements. Evaluate proposed AI solutions, workflows, and integrations to identify risks, dependencies, performance concerns, and implementation challenges. Develop an understanding of accessibility (ADA) requirements and ensure AI solutions align with accessibility standards and best practices. Design, build, and implement AI-powered solutions using large language models (LLMs), AI agents, automation frameworks, and enterprise APIs. Create and execute implementation plans, testing strategies, and validation processes for AI features and integrations. Monitor progress against project milestones and ensure deliverables are moving toward expected outcomes. Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve integration challenges, and support production deployments. Maintain technical documentation, implementation notes, test plans, and Jira task tracking. Participate in 1-2 weekly project meetings to review project status, discuss blockers, and identify resolution paths. Collaborate with technical teams to continuously improve AI workflows, model performance, and operational efficiency.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical role.

• REST APIs and JSON. All of your current integrations (location, subscription details, transaction history, content recommendations) are API calls.
• API security: API keys, tokens, and OAuth and JWT (login token) basics. This matters most for login, so the AI agent can safely help signed-in users.
• JavaScript, for the web chat on your site (for example, telling the AI agent who the user is).
• A backend language your team already uses, to create secure login tokens on your servers.
• Good knowledge of ViX's own systems: accounts, subscriptions, billing, and how purchases from partner stores (Apple, Google Play, Roku) are recorded.
• Basic Python. The AI agent can run small Python steps to work with data from your APIs.
• MCP (Model Context Protocol). A newer standard to connect AI agents to company systems.
• Zendesk, for handoffs to your human team.
• SQL or BI tools, to work with conversation data exports.
• Experience testing AI agents and reviewing conversations.
