Job Description: The Talent Acquisition Specialist sources, recruits, and hires candidates to fill open positions through various channels, including job postings, social media, career fairs, and professional networks. This role builds relationships with prospective candidates, community partners, professional organizations, and educational institutions to develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs. The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a brand ambassador for UPS while supporting workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies.
Responsibilities
- Manages the full-cycle hiring process, including candidate sourcing, screening, assessments, background checks, and onboarding activities
- Builds and maintains talent pipelines through proactive recruiting and relationship management
- Partners with hiring managers to validate hiring needs, align recruitment strategies, and execute hiring plans
- Coordinates with external recruiting partners to support workforce planning and hiring objectives
- Utilizes recruiting and onboarding systems to ensure a seamless candidate experience and efficient integration into the workforce
- Identifies onboarding process improvements and provides recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Completes and maintains new hire documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies
- Administers internal bid processes, including monitoring internal versus external hiring ratios and preparing internal candidates in accordance with compliance guidelines
- Represents UPS at recruitment events, professional associations, and educational institutions to attract and engage top talent
Requirements
- Must reside within the geographic area of the position or be willing to self-relocate. This is an onsite role and is not eligible for remote work
- Must be willing and able to travel and work across multiple locations as business needs require
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OneNote
- Relevant Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent
- Previous UPS experience
