Student Analyst

The Office of Student Success Analytics (OSSA) seeks to hire a student worker to assist with building dashboards and ad-hoc reporting focused on the reporting needs of the institution. Projects will primarily include writing SQL queries for ad-hoc analyses and updating reports in Argos or Tableau. This position is ideal for students interested in data analytics or computer science.The position requires a minimum of 10 hours per week,up to a maximum of 20,depending on institutional need and student availability. The wage is $15/hr.Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with OSSA and other on-campus partners to understand and fulfill users requests.Perform tasks related to business intelligence,such as writing queries,pulling data,and updating reports.Complete one project each semester related to the employee s interests and the needs of the analytics office.Create and complete a learning contract with the supervisor outlining professional goals to provide a meaningful work experience.Learn to effectively use new software and tools as needed.Adhere to government regulations and university standards surrounding the usage and sharing of personal and sensitive data.
