Full job description

Our client, a manufacturing organization is seeking a Plant General to join their team. As a Plant General, you will be part of the Operations & Production team supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a detail-oriented mindset for quality checks, and the flexibility to thrive in a rotating shift environment—aligning successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Plant General

Location: Niagara Falls, NY

Pay Range: $22

Shift: Days, Nights (07:00-19:00)

What's the Job?

  • Operate plant equipment efficiently to support manufacturing processes, following standard operating procedures and production work orders.

  • Perform quality checks, collect samples, and record accurate production data to help ensure consistent product quality.

  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as needed, and complete minor equipment repairs to keep production moving.

  • Follow all safety policies, including proper PPE use and lockout/tagout procedures, and participate in safety audits and SMATs.

  • Maintain compliance with ISO14001, ISO9001, TQM principles, and environmental regulations while keeping equipment and work areas clean and organized.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to work a rotating swing shift with flexibility for 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.

  • Willingness to work 36–48 hours per week and support overtime when required based on business needs (schedules may change).

  • Comfort working in a hands-on manufacturing environment, including dusty conditions and exposure to seasonal temperature variations.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds, climb ladders or stairs at heights, and stand or walk for extended periods while working safely around industrial equipment.

  • Experience or readiness to operate forklifts safely and support general plant cleaning, restocking, and waste disposal as assigned.
