The Flagger is responsible for directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic through active work zones while ensuring the safety of construction crews, motorists, and the public. This position requires strict adherence to ATSSA standards, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), company safety policies, and applicable state and local regulations. ATSSA flaggers play a critical role in maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow in roadway, utility, and construction work zones. **Essential Responsibilities\ **Safely direct traffic using approved stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and communication devices.\ Maintain safe and efficient traffic flow through work zones.\ Follow all ATSSA, MUTCD, DOT, and company traffic control procedures.\ Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and fellow flaggers using radios or other communication devices.\ Monitor work zones for changing traffic conditions and potential hazards.\ Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents immediately.\ Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public.\ Perform daily safety inspections of traffic control equipment.\ Assist with general site cleanup and other duties as assigned when traffic control is not required.\ Work safely in changing weather conditions and around moving vehicles and heavy equipment.\ **Qualifications\ **Current ATSSA Flagger Certification (required).\ Valid drivers license and reliable transportation preferred.\ Previous traffic control or construction experience preferred but not required.\ Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.\ Strong communication skills.\ Commitment to workplace safety and professionalism.\ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\ **Physical Requirements\ **Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.\ Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\ Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.\ Ability to remain alert and focused in high-traffic environments.\ Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.\ **Work Schedule\ **Full-time and overtime opportunities available.\ Day, night, weekend, and emergency shifts may be required based on project needs.\ **Required PPE\ **Hard hat\ High-visibility safety vest\ Safety glasses\ Work gloves\ Steel-toe boots\ Additional PPE as required by the job site\ **Pre-Employment Requirements\ **Current ATSSA Flagger Certification.\ **Why Join Us?\ **Competitive pay\ Daily or Weekly pay\ Overtime opportunities\ Ongoing safety training\ Career advancement opportunities in traffic control and construction\ Opportunity to work on a variety of roadway, utility, and infrastructure projects Company Description Immediate Work Opportunities: Our large network of employers allows us to offer a wide range of job opportunitiesincluding construction jobs, hospitality staffing and moreso you can get to work right away.\ \ Competitive Pay: Hard work deserves fair compensation.
