As a Security Officer Full Time Custody Officer in Westminster, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

• Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of activity within assigned areas to help deter unauthorized entry and other security-related concerns.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, to identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues.

• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.

• Possess a college degree.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
