As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently. The Program Director will be responsible for a multi-site Sort Station across North America. The Program Director is responsible for the safety, financial, operational and customer excellence that the distribution centers provide to our customer as well as to Kuehne + Nagel. The Program director will report directly to Consumer Design and Launch Leader.
How you create impact

Manage safety and initiatives including best practice to support an Incident Frequency Rate (IFR) of <2.5.

Manage all business unit finances, including achieving monthly targets and provide budget filesinternally.

Ensure quality and compliance is at the highest level possible through strict process adherence and system functionalities.

Ensure all SStandard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions meet the operational requirements and minimize any process exposure.

Provide consistency across both sites in operations including visual management and reporting.

Ensure all service KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators)are meeting or exceeding standards. If not understand root cause and implement corrective action.

Develop and present content for QBR’s (Quarterly Business Reviews) in addition to the site managers.

Support best practice across both operations.

Provide network reporting for internal and external requirements.

Coach, guide and evaluate General Managers and Operations Managers across business unit.

Negotiate and support with any new business and Statement of Work.

Absorb and evaluate customer corporate requests to allow General Managers to run operations.

Drive continuous improvement within operations. Ensure teams have a pipeline of active and future projects.

Review and provide guidance on any commercial or legal requirements.

Build relationship between customer and Kuehne + Nagel to retain customers business as well as future growth opportunities
What we would like you to bring
-
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent experience preferred.

7 years of experience within Hyperscale industry.

5+ years of leadership experience within a 3PL or logistics environment.

Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple distribution or logistics operations simultaneously.

5 years experience of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial performance.

Demonstrated experience managing large and complex customer relationships.

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, labor management, inventory control, transportation interfaces, and distribution processes.
