Job Description

The Content Creator role, focused on Nordstrom Rack channels, delivers social-first content end-to-end—concepting, shooting, and editing native content across Reels, Carousels, TikToks, Threads Text-only formats, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest pins. This role partners with the Senior Content Producer on all Tier 3 always-on output and supports Tier 1 and Tier 2 campaign production, when applicable. Success requires creative vision and ideation skills, native social editing craft, on-camera direction, and the ability to move fast across formats and platforms while staying true to the Nordstrom Rack brand voice(s). To be successful in this role, a deep understanding of fashion and off-price content, successful channel strategy, and creative storytelling is essential. The priority of this role is to make a lot of great content and have a lot of fun doing it.

Role Objective:

  • Expand our customer understanding and reach through content

  • Create meaningful customer connections by driving maximum engagement across channels

  • Optimize a customer-led, full-funnel marketing mix, fueling various different parts of the marketing funnel

  • Develop an operational excellence-based culture, ensuring consistent and timely delivery of best-in-class work

A day in the life...

  • Produce, shoot, and edit native Rack content across static images, short-form videos, and text-only formats — mid-fi in nature, but with a high level of craft

  • Translate real-time trends into a real POV on Nordstrom Rack channels. We don’t hop on every trend, and are intentional in the when, why, and how we show up

  • Capture in-store content with iPhone and mirrorless rigs, edit on-device and in-app with the capacity for same-day publishing

  • Direct on-camera talent (including influencers and internal creators) on set, on the street, and on the fly

  • Maintain Rack's editorial voice across formats and platforms, delivering copy and supers for content that conveys our personality

  • Drive adoption of generative AI tooling for content production, ideation, and variant generation

  • Contribute to the Rack editorial point of view and feed insights back to the Rack Social Strategist as content is ideated and published

  • Move at the speed of culture — operating against trend cycles, drops, and store moments

  • Operate cross-functionally to manage product priorities, messaging, promotions, and business needs within content

You own this if you have...

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, film, design, or related field — or equivalent demonstrated experience

  • 5–7 years delivering social-first content end-to-end at a brand, publisher, or agency

  • Adobe Creative Suite fluency: Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects

  • Native social editing on CapCut and Edits

  • iPhone and mirrorless shooting in-store; lighting and audio capture in dynamic environments

  • On-camera direction and casting craft

  • Figma, Photoshop and Canva for static layouts

  • On-the-fly capture and edit-on-device craft

  • Sprout or native schedulers

  • Working knowledge of generative AI tools (Firefly, Runway, ElevenLabs)

  • Demonstrated competencies: Decision Quality, Manages Complexity, Action Oriented, Cultivates Innovation, Collaborates, Customer Focus, and Communicates Effectively
