Gong's Revenue Architects (RAs) are the strategic post-sale partners who turn Gong's AI Operating System into measurable revenue outcomes for customers. Organized today across Enterprise, Enterprise Growth, Mid-Market, and the new Industry Expansion (IX) segment (currently focused on Financial Services and Healthcare), RA teams own adoption, value realization, and renewal and expansion across the full customer lifecycle. The function spans NAMER, EMEA, and APAC, and includes a dedicated VP plus a layer of regional and segment leaders. This is a newly elevated global leadership role, created to unify strategy, execution, and accountability across all Revenue Architecture segments and regions. Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, the VP of Global Revenue Architecture will lead a multi-layered organization of roughly 45 people including a VP, a team of regional and segment leaders, and the individual-contributor RAs who sit closest to customers. You will set the global strategy for how Gong drives retention and expansion across Enterprise, Enterprise Growth, Mid-Market, and Industry Expansion, while building the leadership bench, operating rhythm, and cross-functional muscle needed to scale the function as a global, industry-aware growth engine. The preferred location for this role is in one of Gong's current hubs: San Francisco, Austin, Lehi, Chicago, or NYC. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead across three regions: Own the performance, hiring, and development of a global organization of ~100 across NAMER, EMEA, and APAC, ensuring consistent standards while adapting for regional and market nuance.
- Set the global RA strategy: Define a single revenue transformation methodology; workflow architecture, adoption and change management, value realization, and renewal and expansion that scales consistently across Enterprise, Enterprise Growth, Mid-Market, and IX segments.
- Own the numbers: Hold end-to-end accountability for gross and net revenue retention, expansion, and customer value realization across the entire Revenue Architecture book, and build the forecasting and pipeline rigor to defend those numbers to the executive team.
- Scale Industry Expansion (IX): Guide the build-out of the IX segment currently Financial Services and Healthcare as a 'startup within a startup,' developing industry-specific playbooks, automation, and self-service strategies that improve customer health and reduce churn in these verticals.
- Build the leadership bench: Coach and develop all layers of regional and segment leaders beneath them; own succession planning and career pathing so the org can keep scaling without you in every room.
- Represent RA at the executive level: Act as an escalation point and strategic partner on the largest, highest-risk, and highest-opportunity accounts, engaging directly with customer C-suite and VP stakeholders alongside your leaders.
- Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Sales, Product, Support, Marketing, and other CCO-org peers to ensure Revenue Architecture strategy is embedded in the broader customer journey, and that RA insights shape product and GTM priorities
- Drive operating cadence: Establish the global rhythm of business in QBRs, forecasting, performance reviews, and org health check-ins that keeps a distributed, multi-region team aligned and accountable.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of experience in customer success, account management, or revenue-facing leadership within B2B SaaS, including significant experience leading through multiple layers of management (leaders of leaders), not just individual contributors.
- A track record owning enterprise-scale retention and expansion targets (GRR/NRR) for a large, distributed post-sale organization
- Experience operating across multiple regions and time zones, with the judgment to balance global consistency against local market needs.
- Direct experience building or scaling a new segment, vertical, or 'startup within a startup' motion, ideally involving automation, self-service, or AI-driven customer workflows.
- Comfort owning relationships with customer C-suite and VP stakeholders on the highest-stakes accounts, with strong executive presence and negotiation skill.
- A data-driven, change-management mindset comfortable translating customer workflows into measurable business outcomes and using data to drive adoption.
- A collaborative leadership style that thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced, high-growth environments, and genuinely enjoys developing other leaders.
PERKS & BENEFITS
- We offer Gongsters a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family’s needs.
- Wellbeing Fund - flexible wellness stipend to support a healthy lifestyle.
