Product Manager

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Product Manager for a contract position with a Major Retail Corporation located in New York, NY. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.This individual will ensure that vendor partners meet internal performance protocols and regulatory compliance requirements. The role is responsible for the general day-to-day activities related to product inspections, vendor onboarding, education, and effective communication with cross-functional partners and third-party vendors. Responsibilities: * Partner cross-functionally with Sourcing, Production, Design, Legal, and Merchandising to address regulatory and compliance issues * Monitor repetitive testing, inspection failures, and problematic vendor performance and extract data for review * Create quarterly reports for internal teams, vendors, and agents for vendor assessment * Organize and maintain Product Integrity/Quality Assurance department records * Oversee a product testing program related to physical properties, product safety, and government regulations * Onboard and educate new vendors on Quality, Product Integrity, and Regulatory Compliance programs * Identify quality problems, suggest solutions for failed test results, and recommend solutions * Hold laboratories accountable for performing testing in accordance with specified methods and protocols * Stay abreast of ever-changing State, Federal, and Global requirements * Provide regulatory support to cross-functional partners Requirements: * 3-5 years of previous Product Integrity experience * Experience working with product testing laboratories is a plus * Knowledge of basic apparel manufacturing processes and procedures * Familiar with industry standards, rules, and regulations (CPSC, CPSIA, FTC, CPSA, Cal Prop 65, REACH) and consumer product testing * Superior skills in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint * Highly organized, ability to prioritize with attention to detail * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills * A positive team player who can work independently * Interest in product testing, fabric trends, sustainability, and social compliance Pay range: up to $28.00 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.
