Full job description

We Are

Accenture LearnVantage helps organizations transform how their people learn and work through technology and innovative learning solutions. We partner with enterprise clients to deliver scalable, outcome-driven learning experiences that combine digital learning platforms, emerging technologies, and workforce transformation expertise.

The LearnVantage Engineering team builds and operates the technology platforms that power these experiences at enterprise scale. Our engineers develop secure, reliable, and high-performance systems supporting learners, administrators, customers, and partners across a global learning ecosystem.

You Are

A highly capable back-end software engineer with experience designing, building, and operating production systems at scale. You are comfortable owning services through the full software development lifecycle - from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, observability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

You have strong experience with modern back-end technologies, cloud-native development, APIs, microservices, relational databases, containerized environments, and enterprise integrations. You work effectively across Engineering, Product, Design, and Operations and can independently take complex problems from requirements through production delivery.

You are also comfortable using modern AI-assisted software development tools as part of your engineering workflow to accelerate implementation, investigation, testing, and technical analysis.

The Work

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable back-end services, APIs, and microservices supporting LearnVantage products.

  • Build robust, secure, and reliable systems supporting complex enterprise learning and administration workflows.

  • Own technical solutions from initial design through production deployment and ongoing operation.

  • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders to translate product and enterprise requirements into effective technical solutions.

  • Build and maintain integrations between LearnVantage and enterprise platforms, partner systems, and external services.

  • Improve existing systems for performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.

  • Design and work with relational data models and production databases.

  • Develop and operate containerized applications in cloud environments.

  • Build and maintain automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, and observability practices.

  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system resilience and availability.

  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.

  • Apply software engineering best practices across code quality, testing, security, documentation, and operational readiness.

  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery while maintaining appropriate engineering review, testing, and quality standards.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, development practices, and platform architecture.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

Here's What You Need

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience in a product-oriented, live production environment.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production-quality back-end services and microservices using languages such as Go, Node.js/TypeScript, or Python, including REST and/or GraphQL APIs, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and scalable distributed systems.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS or another major public cloud platform, including hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience developing or supporting enterprise SaaS products or platforms, including authentication, application security, system integrations, and troubleshooting production issues affecting reliability, availability, or performance.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, debugging, technical investigation, testing, or code review.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or related field) or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience.

Professional Skills Requirements

  • Ability to independently drive technical work from requirements and design through production delivery.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, Design, Operations, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
