Job Duties

Now hiring for a Research and Development Engineer

Location: Maple Grove, MN

Pay Rate: $38.90/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Onsite

Join a leading medical device organization as a Research and Development Engineer and play a key role in ensuring analytical data integrity, regulatory compliance, and quality documentation excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong technical writing, quality systems, and laboratory review experience.

Job Duties

Review analytical test data and materials characterization results for accuracy and compliance.

Verify data supporting regulatory submissions and quality requirements.

Lead and support documentation improvements, SOP updates, and laboratory procedures.

Investigate quality events including deviations, non-conformances, and OOS/OOT findings.

Review equipment logs, verification records, and training documentation.

Analyze and trend laboratory quality metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with scientists and engineers to ensure testing documentation meets compliance standards.

Support laboratory system enhancements and special compliance projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in laboratory operations, quality review, technical writing, or regulated environments.

Knowledge of ISO standards, quality systems, and good documentation practices.

Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, and regulatory documentation.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience interpreting materials characterization and analytical testing data.

Knowledge of SEM/EDS, metallography, corrosion testing, tensile testing, or chemical analysis.

Familiarity with statistical and laboratory software tools.

Strong technical writing and communication skills.
