Job Summary: As the Director of the Office of Quality, Risk, Incidents and Investigation, plans, organize, direct, coordinate, evaluate and monitor healthcare programs and service delivery according to TJC and CMS standards and guidelines. Oversee, develop and implement related improvement projects and activities as well as policies and procedures.

Collaborates and partners with other DBHDD Leaders and Departments to ensure State Hospitals’ goals and objectives are met

Develop and implement long and short-term goals for the Office of Quality, Risk, Incidents and Investigations

Monitor State Hospital performance and develop policies and plans based on data collection, activity reports, planning documents, program plans and objectives

Plan and organize program structure and policies to meet organizational and programmatic objectives according to TJC and CMS standards and guidelines

Under the supervision of General Council, plan, organize and direct hospital Investigation Unit

Plan, organize, and direct hospital Quality, Risk, and Incident Management to ensure safety of individuals and staff

Set priorities and implement goals and objectives to meet or resolve identified practice deficiencies and service delivery problems for the State Hospitals to meet accreditation standards and certifications

Provides leadership to subordinate managers and staff

In partnership with the State Hospitals Leadership Team, guide, direct and organize quality improvement projects and activities

Interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges employees

Manages human resources and directs administrative activities to maintain an efficient and effective department

Oversee, develop, and direct all Hospital Systems Committee improvement projects and activities

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services and programs at State Hospitals through Mock Tracers and Audits

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in health care services or related field from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional managerial or supervisory experience in health care services; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Sr Mgr, Health Care (HCM013) or position equivalent.--Note: Some positions may require certification and/or licensure.
