As part of the Quality and Mission Assurance team in McKinney, TX, the Operations Quality Engineer will engage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on top priorities to drive containment, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) implementation.
What You Will Do
-
Use critical thinking resources and methods to improve product design; minimize inspection; resolve manufacturing defects/problems; complete such specialized quality functions as data preparation, analyses, and reporting.

Perform product and process audits for compliance to various standards and product requirements.

Coordinate resolution of nonconforming material with Engineering and Production Control teams.

Support process improvements initiatives.
-
Support Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis on processes and products to prevent product defects and mitigate risk

Support implementation of product Quality Control Plans
-
Lead and support root cause and corrective action activities
-
Act on all applicable material, product and equipment alerts to prevent impact to product reliability using the nonconformance and/or purge process

Manage dropped and damaged hardware processing and incident reporting.

Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
-
Relevant experience is working in the field of quality, operations or manufacturing engineering or other engineering discipline
-
Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management systems.
-
Previous experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102) and/or Advanced Product Quality Planning (AS9145).
-
Experience with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and/or other engineering and manufacturing documents.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with team members, customers, and suppliers

Ability to exercise sound judgement and apply decision-making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention

Perform autonomous, self-guided process and product assessments, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action

Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize.

Familiar with Six Sigma methodologies [e.g. Kaizen, Lean, Define/Measure/Analyze/Improve/Control (DMAIC), and Define/Measure/Analyze/Design/Verify (DMADV)] and resources [e.g. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Capability Analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)].

Experience with GD&T, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing measurement resources and practices.

Experience working in an aerospace-related manufacturing environment

Familiarity with Project Management techniques

Familiarity with microelectronic fab, manufacturing and assembly

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
