Corporate Contracts Counsel

Description

Our client a growing healthcare organization seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with strong experience in healthcare contracting, managed care, and regulatory compliance. This position will work closely with senior leadership on complex commercial agreements, payer relationships, and healthcare regulatory matters.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial healthcare contracts, including MSAs, pharmacy network agreements, rebate agreements, and vendor contracts.

• Advise on managed care agreements, health plan relationships, and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services.

• Provide legal guidance on contract terms, reimbursement, indemnification, and risk management.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, CMS regulations, and applicable state healthcare laws.

• Partner with senior leadership on legal strategy and business operations.

• Assist with M& A due diligence and other corporate legal matters as needed.

• Manage a high volume of contracts and competing priorities.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active bar membership required.

• 7+ years of legal experience with a focus on healthcare contracts.

• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience.

• Experience with managed care, health plans, payer agreements, or healthcare reimbursement.

• Prior in-house healthcare legal experience strongly preferred.

• PBM, specialty pharmacy, or specialty healthcare services experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and healthcare regulatory requirements.

• Ability to work independently and advise senior business leaders.
