Description
Are you energized by building strategies that shape how millions of customers discover and purchase products? As a Category Merchant Manager III at Amazon, you will own a significant portion of a category's performance, combining analytical rigor with creative problem-solving to drive meaningful business growth. In this role, you will develop and execute category strategies, manage vendor and seller relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to optimize the customer experience. You will navigate ambiguous challenges, identify new opportunities, and deliver solutions that balance short-term wins with long-term value. If you are a self-starter who thrives on turning data into action and influencing outcomes across teams, we want to hear from you.

-
Lead end-to-end delivery of complex projects by identifying risks, presenting multiple solution paths to leadership, and making informed trade-offs between competing priorities.
-
Mentor and develop team members while modeling best practices in category management, process improvement, and the responsible use of analytical tools including generative AI.
A day in the life

In the afternoon, you dig into a vendor negotiation, balancing cost targets with selection goals. Throughout it all, you bring clarity to ambiguous problems and help your team prioritize what matters most.
