About the Role & Program:
WABC-TV, the flagship Disney/ABC–owned television station in New York, is the most-watched television station in the New York Television market and the United States! WABC also leads the market in station websites and has the highest social media engagement!
This internship is a part-time (24 hours), six-month commitment in the New York, New York area from January 2027 -June 2027.
What You Will Do:
You will work directly with our Executive Producers and Senior Producer. You will be immersed in all aspects of production for both yearly Programming specials and the weekly “Here and Now” talk show: assisting on field shoots, transcribing, and logging taped interviews, researching/fact-checking, and capturing post-production elements such as graphics and music. You will learn the process of how we get our programs on the air. You will also learn about FCC regulations, music rights, and licensing.
At the end of this internship, you will have a good idea of where your area of interest truly lies and will learn the skills vital to make it in the television business.
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Experience supporting video production projects through filming, editing, or post-production activities.

Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills through academic, extracurricular, or professional experiences.
-
Experience collaborating effectively with others to complete projects or achieve shared objectives.
-
Demonstrated interest in television, media, or entertainment through relevant coursework, projects, internships, or industry involvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

Be at least 18 years of age

Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:

Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

Fully available from January 2027 through June 2027

Available to work 24 hours during a Monday through Friday work week for the duration of the internship. Intern must have availability on Wednesdays throughout the internship (9:30 am - 5:30 pm).

Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area

Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the New York, New York area

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
