Description JOB TITLE: Materials Management/Central Supply - Canton-Potsdam Hospital - Materials Management (Per Diem, Days) STATUS: Per Diem DEPARTMENT: Materials Management LOCATION: SLH - CPH Main - 50 Leroy Street, Potsdam, NY 13676 SCHEDULE: Days, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM OR 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM SUMMARY As a Materials Management/Central Supply, your key role is to organize, track and deliver supplies that are vital to the success of the hospital. Ensuring that each room and floor is stocked and prepared for the next patient at all times, is an essential practice throughout the system. ATTRIBUTES Valid Driver's License required Complete Materials Management Skills Checklist I required Participated in Hazardous Materials Safety Training and Safety Lifting Program Strong attention to detail and excellent communications skills Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office software familiarity RESPONSIBILITIES Supply & Distribution. Ensure all necessary forms are completed; ensure all materials are stocked to the appropriate level per exchange cart; report all inventory discrepancies to Buyer/Planner, Supervisors and/or Materials Manager; inventory and maintain medical equipment supply levels Management of Receivables. Ensure materials are kept in their proper location; review package slips and verify incoming materials Messenger Services. Fill miscellaneous orders from departments; transport materials to designated areas with documentation; ensure all incoming materials are signed for by the department PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate - These roles require a combination of movement and stationary work, including frequent standing, walking, and moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.). Tasks may involve repetitive reaching, bending, pushing, or pulling, along with maintaining awareness in high-traffic or operational areas. Visual focus and spatial awareness are critical in facilities, logistics, or support settings. Emotional demands include managing interruptions, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. Environmental exposures may include equipment noise, shared workspaces, and occasional proximity to hazardous areas. Physical capability screening may be required. PAY RANGE: $18.46 - $26.24 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
