Job Description Position Summary

Plans and performs software application testing throughout the SDLC using established testing methodologies, automation and defect-management tools, data validation, and security and performance considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, organize, maintain, and execute software test plans, test cases, test data, and test results against defined requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Perform unit-support, integration, system, and regression testing across applicable front-end, back-end, database, and interface components.

  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and basic coding or scripting skills; analyze software behavior and troubleshoot test failures.

  • Use Jira to document, prioritize, track, and communicate defects and work items.

  • Use SQL and Linux to validate data, inspect environments, review logs, and support troubleshooting.

  • Participate throughout the SDLC and collaborate with developers, engineers, analysts, and Agile or Scrum teams to improve testability and quality.

  • Apply security best practices and performance-testing techniques for complex applications; document risks, results, and recommendations.

Education and Experience

At least 3 years of relevant experience with an Associate degree. Experience must include software application testing, unit/integration/system/regression concepts, Selenium, Jira, SQL, Linux, basic test scripting, and support for security or performance testing.

Additional Requirements

  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word proficiency.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Potential overtime, weekend work, and travel; no on-call requirement.

  • No separately identified nice-to-have skills.
