Commercial Litigation Attorney

Description

Robert Half, on behalf of a highly regarded commercial litigation firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 1 to 6 years of experience to join its Orlando office. The firm offers a competitive compensation package, plus paid health, vision, and life insurance, a 3% 401(k) contribution from the firm, paid parking, and paid bar renewals. It handles high-stakes commercial disputes for sophisticated clients, often opposite AmLaw firms, but with lean teams that put associates in the room with partners and clients from day one. There is no billable hour minimum, and attorneys typically keep normal business hours, with the understanding that cases sometimes call for extra effort. This is an in-office role.

Requirements

• Work directly with shareholders on all aspects of complex commercial litigation in State and Federal Courts

• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Manage discovery from start to finish

• Meet with clients and witnesses, and assist with depositions and hearings

• Take ownership of assignments and manage your own time and caseload

• Responsibilities will be tailored to your level of experience

Requirements

Qualifications

• JD and active member of The Florida Bar

• 1 to 6 years of commercial or complex litigation experience at a large national firm, top regional firm, or litigation boutique

• Federal clerkship strongly preferred

• Excellent legal writing and research skills, with strong discovery experience

• Strong academic credentials, such as law review or high class rank

• Intellectually curious, self motivated, and eager to grow professionally

• Personable team player who will thrive in a small, close knit firm
