Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads and executes fan experience, game atmosphere, game production, and year-round engagement initiatives that strengthen pride, increase attendance, deepen community connections, grow audiences, and cultivate lifelong Racer supporters.

  • Lead and contribute to the planning, development, and execution of fan experience, game atmosphere, game production, and year-round fan-engagement initiatives across Murray State Athletics.

  • Develop detailed game-presentation plans, scripts, production schedules, and run-of-show documents while coordinating entertainment, promotional, recognition, spirit, student-participation, and sponsor elements.

  • Identify, source, schedule, and coordinate halftime performers, in-venue entertainment, promotional participants, and other game-day talent, including direct involvement in advance preparation and event-day execution.

  • Serve as an active event-day leader by coordinating rehearsals, directing assigned personnel, monitoring the presentation, troubleshooting issues in real time, and ensuring the successful execution of each production element.

  • Create memorable experiences that strengthen school pride, deepen community connections, increase repeat engagement, and cultivate lifelong Racer fans.

  • Develop, preserve, and enhance traditions that strengthen the identity of Murray State Athletics and build meaningful connections with students, alumni, fans, and the broader community.

  • Build and execute targeted engagement and audience-growth initiatives designed to increase attendance, broaden participation, strengthen loyalty, and maintain meaningful relationships with fans throughout the year.

  • Develop and directly support student-engagement initiatives in collaboration with student government, campus organizations, residential communities, student-athletes, and other university partners.

  • Create and execute community activities, youth programming, outreach initiatives, and partnerships that expand the reach and relevance of Murray State Athletics.

  • Collaborate with brand, creative, communications, marketing, video, ticketing, operations, spirit programs, campus partners, and the corporate sponsorship team to produce coordinated, brand-consistent experiences and execute in-game sponsorship assets and partner activations.

  • Coordinate the preparation, testing, and event-day readiness of video-board content, game-production elements, fan-experience platforms, promotional materials, and other audience-facing assets.

  • Design, pilot, execute, and evaluate new fan-engagement initiatives, traditions, theme games, promotional concepts, and experiential programs.

  • Provide hands-on support for conference and NCAA championships, athletics special events, external rentals, and non-athletics events held within Murray State Athletics facilities, including applicable presentation, entertainment, promotional, and audience-engagement elements.

  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate graduate assistants, student interns, temporary personnel, and game-day event staff while working alongside the team during preparation and execution.

  • Manage assigned budgets, promotional purchasing and inventory, annual plans, event calendars, and other operational resources.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • One year of relevant experience required.
