COMPANY OVERVIEW

We exist to make food the world loves. But we do more than that. Our company is a place that prioritizes being a force for good, a place to expand learning, explore new perspectives and reimagine new possibilities, every day. We look for people who want to bring their best - bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what's next.

Senior Manager, Syndicated Data & Analytics, Business Performance Analytics

Join the Insights & Analytics organization as Senior Manager, Syndicated Data & Analytics, Business Performance Analytics (BPA).

This enterprise-facing role owns the North America (NAR) syndicated data strategy and its role in the OMNI data foundation. The position sets the standards, reporting roadmap, and diagnostic capabilities that create a trusted, consistent view of performance across General Mills.

The Senior Manager connects data governance and omnichannel reporting to business-unit performance management and enterprise decision-making. Success requires deep syndicated-data expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to lead through influence, translate complexity into action, and shape executive-ready recommendations.

Full-time; Minneapolis, MN preferred. Remote may be considered for the right candidate.

Key leadership capabilities

  • Enterprise data stewardship: Establishes trusted data foundations through clear definitions, fit-for-purpose methodologies, governance, and appropriate-use principles.

  • Performance measurement leadership: Sets common KPIs, reporting standards, and analytic approaches that improve consistency across NAR and enterprise forums.

  • Diagnostic and strategic thinking: Integrates syndicated data with business signals to identify performance drivers and frame implications for leaders.

  • Executive communication and influence: Creates alignment across functions and turns complex data and business questions into concise, decision-ready narratives.

  • Transformation and capability building: Advances reporting capabilities, enables responsible use of AI and emerging analytics, and strengthens how teams use syndicated data.

Key accountabilities - Own syndicated data strategy and governance

Set the vision for NAR syndicated data and its role in the OMNI data foundation. Establish and continuously improve data quality standards, business definitions, analytic methodologies, and appropriate-use principles. Serve as the senior subject matter expert on data sources, measures, interpretation, and application, partnering with Data & Technology and Advanced Analytics to ensure scalable, well-governed solutions.

Build a common NAR performance view

Define the roadmap for next-generation NAR omnichannel reporting in partnership with Business Performance Analytics, Data & Technology, Advanced Analytics, and eCommerce reporting. Lead the evolution of Weekly NAR Leadership performance delivery, aligned KPIs, reporting standards, and the reporting toolkit-including advanced and AI-enabled analytics capabilities.

Enable enterprise decisions through trusted diagnostics

Lead objective, NAR-wide diagnostics for high-priority business questions. Combine syndicated market data with internal performance, customer and retailer signals, and other relevant inputs to clarify what is happening, why it is happening, and what actions should be considered. Provide credible, data-driven narratives for enterprise leaders, including Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations in preparation for executive meetings (i.e. Board of Directors, CAGNY).

Drive alignment, adoption, and external partnerships

Lead through influence across Business Units, Insights & Analytics and Capability teams to align stakeholders around analytic approaches, governance expectations, reporting priorities, and data interpretation.

Build analytic capability and strengthen the team

Develop principles, training, and tools that improve how teams use, interpret, and communicate syndicated data. Coach analytics professionals and business partners in diagnostic thinking, appropriate data use, and executive storytelling while contributing to an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Role impact

This role creates the reliable, common view of performance that NAR and enterprise leaders need to align faster, diagnose issues objectively, and make better-informed decisions. By connecting data foundations to business action, the Senior Manager improves the quality, speed, and impact of performance management across General Mills.

Minimum qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in business performance analytics, syndicated market or category analytics, data strategy, or related roles within CPG, retail, or a related industry.

  • Deep expertise analyzing syndicated market data, such as NielsenIQ, Circana, Numerator, or comparable sources.

  • Experience establishing data governance, business definitions, analytic methodologies, common KPIs, reporting standards, or enterprise reporting capabilities.

  • Experience integrating syndicated data with financial, retailer, customer, eCommerce, or other business-performance data.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead objective diagnostics and translate complex data into clear, actionable, executive-ready recommendations.

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across Business Units, Central Capability teams, Finance, and external partners.

  • Strong business judgment, deductive reasoning, problem-solving, written communication, and executive presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a complex organization with curiosity, initiative, and accountability.

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA or master's degree in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience leading omnichannel reporting, enterprise KPI standardization, AI-enabled analytics, or conversational analytics capabilities.

  • Experience supporting enterprise leadership forums, Board of Directors materials, Investor Relations communications, CAGNY, or investor conference preparation.
