Sr. Technical Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Technical Accounting Manager to support complex accounting operations and provide leadership across critical close and reporting activities. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a candidate who brings strong technical accounting knowledge, audit support experience, and a hands-on approach to general ledger integrity. The role will partner with finance stakeholders to strengthen reporting accuracy, maintain compliance, and drive timely completion of key accounting deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities to ensure accurate, timely completion of financial reporting deliverables.

• Oversee general ledger activity, review account balances, and resolve discrepancies affecting reporting accuracy.

• Prepare and approve journal entries with appropriate support and alignment to accounting standards and company policy.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain clean and reliable financial records.

• Support financial statement audit processes by coordinating documentation, responding to auditor requests, and addressing follow-up items.

• Evaluate technical accounting matters and provide guidance on proper treatment for complex transactions.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance close efficiency.

• Monitor reporting processes and identify areas for better accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Requirements • Strong experience managing month-end close in a complex accounting environment.

• In-depth knowledge of general ledger processes, reconciliations, and journal entry review.

• Demonstrated background supporting financial statement audits and working with external auditors.

• Solid understanding of technical accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.

• Proven ability to analyze account activity, identify issues, and implement practical resolutions.

• High level of accuracy, organization, and accountability in deadline-driven settings.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance and business teams.
