Assistant Scientist, Analytical Sciences & Technology

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Assistant Scientist, Analytical Sciences & Technology for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in East Syracuse, NY. This is an 8+ month contract opportunity. This role involves performing routine laboratory tasks and non-GMP analytical testing to support upstream and downstream process development studies. The successful candidate will document experimental data, support method development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This is a temporary position with the potential for extension based on performance. Responsibilities: * This is a temporary position that will be filled for 8 months, but could be extended longer based on employee's performance * Perform routine laboratory tasks including reagent preparation, sample management, instrument maintenance, inventory/ordering of supplies, general housekeeping, and other duties as assigned * Perform non-GMP analytical testing of study samples to support upstream and downstream process development studies * Document experimental data and results, perform data verification, prepare protocols and final reports * Support analytical initiatives including method development, qualification, and technical transfer of methods to the Quality Control laboratory * Collaborate with cross functional teams and assist with troubleshooting * Occasional night and weekend hours may be required Requirements: * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Detail oriented with good organizational skills * B.S./M.S./or Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent area of related study with 0-5 yrs. relevant experience Desired skills: * Knowledge of a variety of analytical biochemistry techniques (i.e., HPLC, qPCR, ELISA, CE-SDS, iCIEF, UV, MS, Cell based assays) is preferred Pay range: up to $29.00 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
