About the role The owner of Pocket’s demand forecast, inventory health, and fulfillment planning. You answer three critical questions: how many units we’re going to sell, when we need to order them, and where the inventory needs to be. Pocket sells physical products across DTC, Amazon, retail, and international markets. You’ll monitor demand, identify stock risks early, and coordinate with warehouses and fulfillment partners to keep products available without tying up unnecessary cash. This is a hands-on role on a lean team. You’ll work with imperfect data, build processes where none exist, and directly influence availability, delivery speed, and shipping cost. What you'll own

  • Daily demand monitoring and the weekly forecast across channels, SKUs, and colorways
  • Reorder points, safety stock, days of coverage, and purchase order recommendations
  • Stockout and overstock risk identification, with clear mitigation plans
  • Amazon FBA shipment planning and inventory health across marketplaces
  • Day-to-day execution with 3PL and fulfillment partners
  • Inventory placement across warehouses to balance availability, delivery speed, and cost
  • Reconciliation of inventory and fulfillment data across systems
  • The core numbers: forecast accuracy, in-stock rate, inventory turns, days of coverage, and fulfillment cost

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years in supply chain, demand planning, inventory, or fulfillment operations for a physical product
  • You’ve built and maintained a real forecast and can explain where it was wrong
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with messy data from multiple systems
  • Strong understanding of lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and MOQs
  • High attention to detail and ownership of the accuracy of your work
  • You chase answers, move quickly, and figure things out without detailed instructions
  • Experience with Amazon FBA, 3PLs, WMS/ERP systems, SQL, or high-growth ecommerce is a strong plus

What we offer

  • Direct impact on inventory and fulfillment at a fast-scaling YC company
  • High ownership and direct access to founders and the senior team
  • A lean, fast-moving environment with room to grow into broader supply chain ownership
  • $85K–$100K base, depending on experience, plus stock options

About the interview Process

  • Quick intro call (15 min) - logistics, comp expectations, timezone fit
  • Forecasting case study
  • Interview with Head of Finance & Ops
  • Interview with a teammate (culture fit)
  • Reference check
  • Offer
  • Onboarding
