Job Description

You enjoy shaping the future of product innovation as a core leader, driving value for customers, guiding successful launches, and exceeding expectations. Join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact by delivering secure, high-quality identity experiences that resonate with clients.

As a Product Manager in Identity & Access Management within the Commercial & Investment Bank at JPMorganChase, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle for the platform that governs how clients authenticate, access, and manage their digital identities across the firm. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable, secure products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep domain expertise in authentication and authorization standards, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback from stakeholders and client-facing teams, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance, you collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering, security, risk, and business teams to deliver high-quality identity and access management capabilities that exceed customer expectations — while reducing attack surface and strengthening the firm's overall security posture.

Job responsibilities

  • Develops product strategy and product vision for identity and access management capabilities — including identity, session management, authentication, and authorization — that delivers value to customers and strengthens the firm's security posture

  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer and stakeholder needs, integrating industry best practices and emerging authentication patterns (e.g., passkeys, risk-based step-up, passwordless) into the product roadmap

  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition, partnering with engineering teams through sprint and scrum ceremonies

  • Builds the framework and track the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, reliability, and regulatory compliance

  • Leads platform services strategy, ensuring identity and access management capabilities are built for scale, resiliency, and consumption by multiple lines of business as shared services

  • Drives transformation and migration initiatives, leading cross-functional teams through planning, sequencing, and execution of moves from legacy identity systems to the strategic target-state platform

  • Presents roadmaps, product strategy, and migration plans to senior stakeholders and partner teams, building alignment and securing buy-in across a matrixed organization

  • Partners with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure product designs meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g., NIST 800-63, FFIEC, PSD2) and reduce organizational attack surface

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on product engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

  • Working knowledge of authentication and authorization standards and protocols (e.g., OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2/WebAuthn, multi-factor authentication and step-up models)

  • Familiarity with identity and access management industry best practices and regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to authentication, access management, and client identity

  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics

  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management

  • Experience managing scrum and agile ceremonies and partnering directly with engineering teams to translate roadmap priorities into delivery

  • Demonstrated experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Track record of leading large-scale transformation or migration initiatives, including planning, stakeholder coordination, and execution

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization

  • Experience with platform and shared-services product models supporting multiple internal consumers or lines of business

  • Background in financial services, banking, or other regulated industries with client-facing identity requirements
