Lead Specialist - Product Owner - Veterans Evaluation Services

Maximus is currently hiring for Lead Specialist - Product Owners to support our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a remote position. This role is responsible for leading agile product delivery from concept through release, using data analysis and stakeholder collaboration to drive business outcomes. The Product Owner will guide sprint execution, manage backlogs, translate business needs into clear requirements, and provide subject matter expertise across strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct and lead data analysis, change impact analysis, investigate issues and defects, and manage backlogs.

• Lead agile team on sprint deliverables while identifying and implementing process and efficiency improvements.

• Collaborate with other organizations, Operations, and IT.

• Lead and conduct release activities, demos, acceptance testing, etc.

• Translate business needs into epics, features, user stories, and tasks.

• Review work of other product owners providing guidance where needed.

• Produce feature and release documents for presentations.

• Provide subject matter expertise for additional areas of strategic interest.

'- Please note upon hire, Veteran Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus Co. will provide all necessary computer equipment that is to be utilized to fulfil the duties of your role. New hires will not be exempt from using company provided equipment.

• Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US

Home Office Requirements Using Maximus-Provided Equipment:

• Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to (www.speedtest.net)

• Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router

• Private work area and adequate power source

Minimum Requirements

'- Bachelor's degree in related field.

• 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

'- VES OMS system and CORE process highly preferred

• Hands-on experience implementing, maintaining, or supporting DBQ-related workflows, validations, and operational processes highly preferred

• Experience operating in an Agile environment as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role highly preferred

• Prior experience communicating and collaborating with IT and business leaders is preferred

• Prior stakeholder management experience is preferred
