Job Title Project Manager

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Senior Project Leader, you will have the opportunity to lead high-priority new product commercialization and projects within the TEBG Product Management Office. In this role, you will guide cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, manage project risks and decisions, and deliver launches with strong execution discipline.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading cross-functional project teams to execute medium to large complexity New Product Introduction (NPI) and change-management projects, including project chartering, scope definition, work breakdown planning, milestone planning, gate review preparation, launch readiness, and delivery against project objectives.

  • Partnering with business management, technical leaders, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, marketing, and other stakeholders to align project scope, priorities, resourcing, risks, and decision points.

  • Owning project communication by establishing clear communication plans, providing regular stakeholder updates, escalating risks constructively, and driving key decisions to closure.

  • Managing project schedule, scope, deliverables, resources, budget assumptions, risks, issue resolution, approvals, documentation, decision logs, and action tracking to support on-time and in-full execution.

  • Applying and reinforcing project management process discipline, including use of project management tools, project plans, communication plans, risk registers, gate review deliverables, lessons learned, and other standard practices to improve project execution and team effectiveness.

  • Leveraging global resources and subject matter experts across functions and geographies while coaching team members on project expectations, tools, process discipline, and effective collaboration.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

  • Three (3) years of project management experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Five years of experience in new product commercialization in a private, public, government, or military environment

  • Innovative, resourceful, organized, and self-directed, with excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical problem-solving ability

  • Collaborative interpersonal style with experience leading large cross-functional project teams

Work location:

  • This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
