Full job description

Location: Anywhere in Country

At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

The opportunity

EY's Procurement practice helps clients shape, sell, architect and deliver complex digital procurement transformations. As a Digital and AI Procurement Senior Manager / Solution Architect, you will lead Source-to-Pay (S2P) technology solutions on platforms such as ZIP and GEP, including their AI-enabled capabilities. You will bring together procurement strategy, process design, enterprise architecture, integration, data, security and operating-model considerations into practical, scalable solutions. Because you're credible with both Procurement and IT executives, you'll turn business outcomes into technical architecture and implementation roadmaps, and you'll lead global programs from pursuit through deployment and value realization.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you will lead pursuits, own solution architecture and direct delivery of complex, AI-enabled procurement programs while developing teams and growing the practice. You will:

  • Lead opportunity qualification, discovery, solution strategy, estimation, proposals and executive presentations for complex digital procurement programs.

  • Translate client priorities into a transformation vision, target architecture, value case, roadmap and delivery model.

  • Serve as lead Solution Architect for ZIP and/or GEP transformations across the S2P lifecycle, owning architecture decisions and design integrity.

  • Lead current-state assessment and future-state design across intake and orchestration, supplier onboarding, sourcing, contracting, risk, purchasing, invoicing, payments and analytics.

  • Define the solution blueprint, including configuration, integrations, identity and access, data migration, master data, reporting, controls, non-functional requirements and release strategy.

  • Evaluate how native, embedded and adjacent AI capabilities can improve user experience, decision-making, automation, insights and controls, while identifying dependencies and risks.

  • Facilitate design authority and architecture governance, manage key trade-offs and prevent unnecessary customization.

  • Lead programs through mobilization, design, build, testing, deployment, adoption, stabilization and value realization, with clear governance, risk management and executive reporting.

  • Maintain accountability for scope, quality, client experience and commercial performance across regions, business units and third-party providers.

  • Lead, coach and develop managers, architects, consultants and specialists, and contribute to sales, revenue, pipeline and account growth.

Skills and attributes for success

To thrive in this role, you will combine executive client leadership with sound architecture judgment and strong commercial and delivery discipline. You will:

  • Build executive trust and connect transformation decisions to measurable business outcomes.

  • Make clear, defensible trade-offs across process, platform, data, integration, security, AI, controls, cost and speed.

  • Shape winnable solutions and manage delivery economics.

  • Create alignment and accountability across global teams while protecting quality, scope and risk.

  • Develop talent, give direct feedback and build collaborative, inclusive teams.

  • Adapt complex messages for Procurement, IT, delivery teams and executives without losing precision.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of Source-to-Pay processes, operating models, data, integrations, controls and technology architecture.

  • Deep knowledge of ZIP and/or GEP, including platform capabilities, configuration concepts, integration patterns and AI-enabled functionality.

  • At least 2-3 full implementation cycles in a senior program lead or solution architect role on complex ZIP and/or GEP programs.

  • Demonstrated experience architecting and delivering complex global procurement transformations across multiple functions, regions and enterprise systems.

  • Experience leading sales pursuits, including solution strategies, estimates, roadmaps, proposals and client workshops.

  • Experience communicating with Procurement and IT stakeholders, from process owners and architects to C-suite sponsors.

  • Demonstrated people leadership, including team development, performance coaching, resource management and accountability for delivery and sales goals.

  • Ability to work in person at an EY office and/or client location up to 50% of the time, based on client and project needs.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Hands-on experience across more than one ZIP or GEP module or capability area.

  • Experience integrating procurement platforms with ERP, identity, master data, risk, contract, finance and analytics solutions.

  • Experience establishing architecture governance, design authority or solution assurance for large transformation programs.

  • Knowledge of responsible AI, data governance, security, privacy and controls relevant to enterprise AI adoption.

  • Experience developing digital procurement offerings, accelerators, demonstrations or alliance-led go-to-market programs.

  • Relevant platform certifications and a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, information systems, engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

What we look for

We're looking for leaders who can bridge Procurement and IT, shape differentiated solutions for complex opportunities and deliver AI-enabled transformations that balance business outcomes, technical integrity, program risk and adoption. If you enjoy building strong client and alliance relationships while coaching high-performing teams, this role is for you.
