Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Primary Care Clinic (Mon–Fri Days)

Full-Time | Bethpage, NY

Salary: $90,000 – $93,000 per year

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, daytime hours

Every other first Saturday of the month: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

CEC Healthcare is a not-for-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services to historically underserved communities across Long Island.

Our integrated healthcare centers located in Bethpage and Glen Cove support a collaborative team-based model that integrates medical and behavioral health services to improve patient outcomes.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient primary care clinic in Bethpage. This role provides direct clinical support to providers, performs nursing assessments, and manages patient triage in a fast-paced clinic environment serving a diverse patient population.

Many of our patients include individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), making compassion, patience, and strong communication skills essential.

This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RN) seeking an outpatient primary care or clinic nurse position with a stable daytime schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for outpatient primary care patients

  • Provide patient triage and respond to clinical inquiries

  • Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures

  • Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care

  • Coordinate care with medical providers and behavioral health professionals

  • Document patient care in eClinicalWorks EMR

  • Maintain compliance with clinical policies and healthcare regulations

Qualifications

Required

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Minimum 1 year RN experience, preferably in an outpatient or physician office setting

  • Current BLS certification

  • Experience working with patients with I/DD

  • Knowledge of physician office or outpatient clinic workflows

Preferred

  • Experience using eClinicalWorks (EMR)

  • Strong patient education and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
