YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Director PH Finance Business Partner Kerendia are to:
The Finance Business Partner for Kerendia serves as the financial leader and strategic advisor to the U.S. Kerendia VP and Product Team, acting as the brand CFO while reporting to the Head of Finance US & WWM Pharma. The role is accountable for driving financial performance, investment decisions, and resource allocation for one of Bayer's most significant growth brands, with the ambition of establishing Kerendia as a $3B+ franchise in the U.S. market.
As a core member of U.S. Kerendia Product Team, the incumbent provides financial leadership, business insight, and decision support on cross functional topics. The role requires deep understanding of market dynamics, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence strategic decisions through rigorous financial analysis, constructive challenge, and partnership. Operating within a Beyond Budgeting framework, the Finance Business Partner is responsible for ambition setting, continuous performance monitoring, dynamic resource allocation, and ensuring investments are prioritized toward the highest-value opportunities.
The position plays a critical role in translating strategy into actionable financial plans, overseeing brand P&L, evaluating investment returns, and recommending corrective actions when performance deviates from expectations. Success in the role requires balancing growth ambitions with disciplined financial stewardship while driving productivity, resource optimization, and enterprise-wide value creation.
In addition to leading financial support for Kerendia, the role collaborates closely with Finance BP Medical and Finance BP WHC to support the Customer Engagement (CE) organization across WHC/CVR Brands. This includes financial oversight and management of resources and funding for a complex organization encompassing the CE Leadership Team, Sales Reps, Area General Managers, and related CE support functions, ensuring effective cost management and alignment of resources with business priorities. Furthermore, the job holder will be one of the PH FI US Team’s options to become a Finance Business partner of one of the PH US Headquarters’ Functions.
Accountable for performance review and analysis of the Kerendia Business in the US, providing financial updates to Kerendia PT focusing on business drivers and insights, proactive approach to risks, opportunities, and contingencies

Accountable for ambition setting, financial pulse checks, quarterly steering of the complete P&L, business review presentations including Long Range (SBP) operating plans

Develop, implement, and monitor commercial strategies to maximize business performance, including the areas of commercial purchase agreements and customer pricing programs.

Managing stakeholders in the Kerendia PT locally and globally, the PH US Core and Operating Team and other US Pharma teams, O2C, Accounting.

Review, challenge and validate Brand / Brand portfolio commercial conditions; field force incentive compensation plans, support strategy and financial compliance of marketing programs set with the Business

Collaborate with key managers in Marketing, Sales and other operating functions in planning and executing product strategies to deliver annual sales and profit goals. Provide financial counsel on advertising and promotional expenses

Responsible for financial governance and evaluation of key contracts and business cases for new launch projects and commercial investment decisions (ROI, NPV)

Collaborate closely and effectively with functions such as Accounting, SCM, O2C, PH FI FP&A, PH FI Medical, other US Pharma US teams, BD&L and Commercial Operation functions to ensure support of divisional mandates, including services, synergies, continuous improvement measures, resources, funding, and costs

Drive AI adoption across finance and commercial processes to improve business insights, productivity, and decision quality.

Actively supporting Risk Management and Audit activities in close collaboration with BP and platform functions

Adapt a continuous improvement mindset & perform knowledge and best practice sharing with other CFO, PH FI BPs and PH Commercial functions

Accountable for all applicable US alliances and associated governance representation and reporting requirements
WHO YOU ARE

Required Qualifications:

Profound finance and international accounting standards knowledge;

Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex business challenges and data-driven recommendations to senior leaders. Given the different priorities of functional teams, the FBP must be skilled at addressing conflicts directly and guiding the team toward solutions that benefit the overall product strategy;

Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, fluid, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment, while working effectively in cross functional teams;

AI Adoption & Digital Mindset: Demonstrates curiosity and openness to emerging technologies, actively embraces AI-enabled solutions, and identifies opportunities to leverage automation and data-driven insights to improve decision-making, productivity, and business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in finance or business-related discipline required; Masters degree;

Commercial and Financial Acumen: A strong grasp of the financial aspects of the US healthcare system is critical;

15 years of experience, as well as an in-depth understanding of the complexities of financial and business transactions of a global operating business;

Solid business / commercial sense preferably in Life Sciences; focus on key business priorities and results. Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;

Excellent analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills;

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $175,520 to $263,280. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
