Location: District Wide

Position Title: Director of Operations & Maintenance

Salary/Pay Scale: $110,000 - $127,000

Requirements:

Applicants must meet New York State Civil Service Commission Criteria for the title “Director of Facilities II”. Must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in School Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture and two (2) years of experience in school facilities maintenance, general building construction, building maintenance or repair work, or construction management, one (1) year of which involved the supervision of employees

OR an associate’s or higher-level degree in School Facilities Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Construction Technology, Architectural Technology and four (4) years of experience in school facilities maintenance, general building construction, building maintenance or repair work, or construction management, one (1) year of which involved the supervision of employees:

OR six (6) years of experience in school facilities maintenance, general building construction, building maintenance or repair work, or construction management, one (1) year of which must have involved supervision of employees.

Description:

Responsible for the administration of the buildings and grounds department. The majority of activities are performed in the office, but the incumbent will spend time at various work sites ensuring that work is being performed and completed in an efficient manner. Supervision is exercised over the work of subordinate staff.
