Full job description

Job Description During an operation, surgical technologists pass the sterile instruments and supplies to surgeons and first assistants. They might hold retractors, hold internal organs in place during the procedure, or set up robotic surgical equipment. Technologists also may handle specimens taken for laboratory analysis. Top Client in need of Surgical Technologist II - Vascular OR Qualifications Education: High School graduate required. Graduate of approved Surgical Technology Program. Eligible to register as a Surgical Technologist with the VA Department of Health Professions required. Provide to the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or its successor one of the two following documents: A current credential as a certified surgical technologist; or Successful completion of a surgical technologist training program during the applicant's service as a member any branch of the armed forces of the United States. Experience: None required. Licensure/Certification: AHA-BLS-HCP certification from the American Heart Association is required. Other: Satisfactory completion of structured orientation program.
