Full job description

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of the Office of Victim Services (OVS), review and process returned notification mail that was sent from OVS to registered crime victims using data mining techniques such as but not limited to SC DMV and idiCORE searches and locate victims. Once current contact information has been determined provide notification for relevant hearings or releases. Also using those same data mining techniques, assist the Victim Advocates in the field offices in locating victims whose restitution checks have been returned to the SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services in addition to other types of returned notification letters. Mail receipt letters to victims of crime who register with SCDPPPS. Maintain data for measurement purposes, as requested, and report data in progress and final reports as dictated by any grant requirements and OVS standard operating procedures.

A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of work experience directly related to criminal justice (i.e. probation & parole, law enforcement, corrections), or 5 years of work experience in crime victim services. Victim Service Provider (VSP) certification from the SC Attorney General’s Office-Department of Crime Victim Services Training, Provider Certification & Statistical Analysis.

Please note: This is an entirely on-site, in-office position.
