Finance Associate | $5B+ Venture Capital Firm| San Francisco; Hybrid

Join a highly regarded venture capital firm with a strong track record of backing innovative, technology-driven businesses. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role within a lean finance team, offering broad exposure across fund accounting, reporting, valuation, transactions, and operations.

Ideal for someone who thinks critically, works independently, and wants meaningful responsibility and growth within a sophisticated investment platform. Strong team culture, process improvement focus, and exposure to AI and automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and quarterly close across funds and SPVs

• Prepare NAV, capital accounts, allocations, and reporting schedules

• Coordinate with fund administrators, audit, and tax providers

• Support LP reporting, valuations, and fund performance reporting

• Prepare transaction wires and supporting documentation

• Maintain fund, investment, and operational trackers

• Support regulatory filings and process improvements

• Identify opportunities for AI and automation

Requirements

• 2–5 years of fund accounting, fund administration, audit, VC, or PE finance experience

• Understanding of fund mechanics and allocations

• Strong Excel and finance systems skills; Carta a plus

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and communication

• Interest in AI, automation, and process improvement

• Ownership-minded, coachable, and eager to grow

• CPA or CPA-track a plus
