Job Description

Eataly’s La Scuola is a place where guests can learn about and experience Italian food and wine through engaging classes, tastings, and private events. The Events & Education Associate supports the planning and execution of programming, with a strong focus on wine education and guest experience.

  • Supports and facilitates wine classes, tastings, demonstrations, and private events
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of wine, with an emphasis on Italian wines and regional varieties
  • Assists with planning event programming, menus, wine selections, and class materials
  • Provides engaging and informative experiences for guests while adapting to different levels of wine knowledge
  • Supports event setup, service, breakdown, and overall organization of La Scuola spaces
  • Works closely with the Events & Education team, culinary and front-of-house teams, and clients to ensure successful events
  • Ensures proper handling, storage, and presentation of wine and event supplies
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of wine, hospitality, or events experience
  • Strong knowledge of wine; Italian wine knowledge preferred
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Wine certification (WSET, CMS, or equivalent) preferred

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to use knives, hand tools and standard commercial kitchen equipment
  • Food Handler’s License
